| The city of ANGELES , a few kilometres north of San Fernando along
MacArthur Highway, is a disaster of poor town planning and chaotic
traffic, and has little to recommend it, beyond making a handy stop-off
point on the way to Clark. The centre of the city is huddled around
Henson Sreet, which you reach by turning west off the MacArthur Highway
at the busy junction of San Ignacio Street and Angeles Avenue. The
Philippine Rabbit bus terminal is at the southern end of Henson Street,
close to Mercury Drug Store and PCI Bank. There are a number of other
banks on Santo Rosario Street and there are two hospitals , Saint
Catherine's and the Angeles Medical Center, on Rizal Street. Angeles
City post office is on MacArthur Highway, just north of the city centre.
Jeepneys to Clark leave from Rizal Street near the market and cost P18. |
